As we approach Medicare's AEP (Annual Enrollment Period Oct. 15 - Dec. 7, 2026), I would like to alert followers to some possible new changes for 2027. If you are one of my clients, you will be receiving a letter from me in the mail this week or next. I have provided instructions on what to look out for when you receive the (ANOC) Annual Notice of Changes letter from your insurance carrier. ✅ Changes to prescription drug coverage or formulary.
✅ Medicare's Bridge program for certain covered/low copay GLP-1 drugs has been extended through 2027.
✅ Changes to benefits and coverage options like deductible adjustments, or benefits.
✅ Policy updates impacting out-of-pocket costs.

Do you know the difference between copay and coinsurance?

Copay = A predetermined or fixed dollar amount.

Coinsurance = A percentage of a dollar amount.

Did you know......
While 65 has always been Medicare's magic number, there are a few situations where the Medicare age limit doesn't apply, and you may be able to get Medicare before 65.

You qualify for Medicare regardless of age once you have received Social Security Disability benefits for 24 months.

You also qualify if you have end-stage renal disease or ALS (amyotrophic lateral sclerosis)
