HELPFUL TIPS TO REMEMBER DURING THE CLAIMS PROCESS:
** Document any damage with photos and/or videos as soon as possible.

** Do what you can to protect your property from further damage. This may mean placing a tarp over the roof or boarding broken windows and doors.

** Save purchase receipts for items used to prevent further damage to property such as tarps, plywood, storage units, etc.

Do not dispose of any damaged items and materials until you are able to check with your adjuster. If, however, you are required by your local municipality to discard them for safety reasons, take photographs to help with the claims process.

** It would be helpful to prepare an inventory of damaged property, including a detailed description of the items and estimated values. If you have invoices or receipts related to damaged items, this can help support valuation.
