I enjoy quilting or number puzzles. I love finding new patterns and fabrics at The Pin Cushion.

🍦 What is your favorite ice cream flavor?
I love all Ben & Jerry's flavors, but Phish Food is at the top of the list.

✈️ What is your bucket list travel destination?
I haven't been to Las Vegas or Paris yet, but I wouldn't turn down the opportunity to return to Turks and Caicos.

📚 What are the most recent books you've read?
Necessary Endings by Dr. Henry Cloud and Verity by Colleen Hoover

👧🏻 As a child, what did you want to be when you grew up?
I have wanted to be an accountant from as far back as I can remember. When I was young, my grandpa owned a plumbing business, and I always enjoyed helping him with his bookkeeping.

🤓 Why did you create Number Nerd Bookkeeping LLC?
I suddenly had more spare time when my kids started leaving the nest. I went through the CO.STARTERS Business Accelerator Program, which helped me lay out the foundation of my business and prepare me to launch.

Setting reminders for critical dates in your business like paying sales tax, submitting payroll, and invoicing clients, can save you from last-minute stress and financial penalties.

✅ Quick Tips for Setting Reminders:

▪️ Use digital calendars such as Google Calendar or Outlook to set up alerts for important dates. Set multiple reminder alerts to provide plenty of preparation time. Take advantage of reoccurring events for tasks that repeat regularly.

▪️ Utilize accounting software to automate reminders for recurring payments and tax deadlines. Customize your alerts to ensure you receive notifications with plenty of time to prepare.

▪️ If you prefer a visual reminder, dedicate an area of your workspace to outline key dates by using a desk calendar, a whiteboard, or a planner. Use a color-coded system for different types of tasks to be able to easily distinguish between them. Make sure you regularly update and review to stay aware of approaching deadlines.
