Sometimes I meet new clients face to face with a handshake, smile, and a nice conversation.
Other times, they find me on random little corners of the internet, like a Reddit forum.
No matter where we meet, they end up finding a better deal and better service than the first place they looked!

Happy to have met a new couple who bought this wonderful home and are moving in right after they returned from their honeymoon!

Rates are dropping and refis are heating up... which means it's time for everyone's favorite mortgage fairy tale... the free refinance.

A new grandma wanted to move closer to family and spend more time with her grandkids during those early, important years. But she didn’t want to let go of her current home with its great location and low payment.

The solution? We turned her current home into a rental. That rental income helped her qualify for a new home near family. Now she has a place close to the grandkids and a rental property that will have tenants paying the mortgage and builds equity.

She’ll get a little extra cashflow in the meantime and when she’s ready, she can move back to her original home with more financial flexibility and a stronger long-term position.

I had the honor of helping two Veterans start new chapters in their lives on the same day. Both were moving from different states to take new jobs and build stronger communities.

These Veterans EARNED their VA loan through years of service and sacrifice. They deserve the lower payments, the better terms, and the opportunity to own a home without unnecessary hurdles. Thankfully, we had true professionals on all sides of these transactions who understood that.

Minnesota gained a Harvard MBA grad stepping into a new startup.
North Dakota gained a highly trained technician who used a relocation grant to create instant equity in his new home.

Both Veterans now get to raise their families in better communities and enjoy the homes they worked so hard to earn.

When a fellow loan officer had a client moving out of state to a place where they weren’t licensed, they gave me a call. Why? Because they knew that working with a mortgage broker would be the best move for the client, and they wanted to make sure that family was taken care of.

That’s what I love about this community. We’re not competitors. We’re teammates trying to help the seventy percent of consumers who still don’t use a mortgage broker. That 70% of consumers has been proven to pay more for their mortgage when they don't use a mortgage broker. When we support each other across companies and across state lines, we raise the bar for everyone.

I’m grateful for the trust and honored to help the family they referred. This couple was moving from Michigan to Minnesota to be closer to family and use their VA loan to purchase the home they plan to enjoy in retirement.

It took just over a year to find the right place. Something that fit the budget, the location, and truly felt like home. In the end, they landed a great house that checked all the boxes.

This congratulations post means a lot
It started with a phone call from a fellow goalie dad. His son is someone my own son has looked up to for years. He knew I worked with VA loans and asked if I happened to know someone who could help his brother in a different state.

My answer? Of course I know someone. Me!

It always means a lot when someone trusts me with their family. And this one was extra special.

After connecting with his brother, it didn’t take long for the conversations to shift from “client” to “friend.” That’s one of the best parts of this job. Getting to meet good people and help them through a big moment in their life.

There were a few curveballs in this one. He had some unique employment, but VA loans are flexible and built for real-life situations. We made it work without a problem.

One of the coolest parts of this transaction was the team effort. Neither his Realtors nor the seller’s Realtor had ever worked with a VA loan before. In that market, they are pretty rare. But instead of pushing back or getting nervous, they leaned in and learned.

They asked questions. They were open to guidance. They wanted to get it right for this Veteran.

Because of that, we got a great outcome. A deserving Veteran is now in a new home, and there are now two more Realtors who are better prepared to serve future Veterans in their community.

That’s a win all around.

June stats just dropped. 10 loans closed. $4.9 million funded.

I’m not big on bragging. In fact, I hate this post already. But I am big on gratitude. Friends from childhood, family, real estate partners, past clients, fellow goalie parents, co-workers, and customers from the brewery 10 years ago...thank you!
Every referral, every conversation, every bit of trust means the world to me.

In June I closed VA, FHA, and conventional loans in three different states. Whether it’s a first home, a refinance, or helping a Veteran use their well-earned VA benefit, it’s an honor every time.

Congratulations to this awesome family on their new lake home on beautiful Serpent Lake in Crosby, Minnesota
This Arizona crew knows how to do summer right, and there’s no better place than Minnesota to escape the heat.

He grew up playing hockey and spent his summers at Heartland Hockey Camp, not far from Crosby. Even though he now calls Arizona home, he wanted his family to experience the cabin life up here during the best months of the year.

It was an honor to help him get into a place they will enjoy for generations. And Crosby will always hold a special place in my heart, too. It’s where my mom grew up, back when it was a quiet little mining town in the nineteen hundreds.

Big congratulations to this Veteran client on his return to Minnesota
After a distinguished military career and nearly two decades in Florida, it was finally time to come back home to the great state of Minnesota.

He had previously worked with one of those big-name VA lenders who are better at marketing than actually doing VA loans. This time around, he found better rates and faster service by working with Edge Home Finance.

I’m proud to have helped him make the move and even more excited to welcome him home. Looking forward to catching up on Mille Lacs for some fishing later this summer!
