Markets have continued to climb, but leadership has become more concentrated as investors weigh persistent inflation, higher rates, and rising uncertainty. See Northwestern Mutual Wealth Management Chief Investment Officer Brent Schutte’s take on what the shift from broad growth to narrower market leadership could mean for investors. http://spr.ly/6186BH8Nf8

I wasn’t looking to become a financial advisor. I was looking for a new opportunity.

I graduated from SDSU with a degree in Agricultural Systems Technology. Financial planning wasn’t the career path I had pictured for myself.

But a conversation opened a door I hadn’t considered—and ultimately changed the direction of my career.

Getting started wasn’t easy. The licensing exams challenged me, and building a practice has stretched me personally and professionally. There were moments I questioned whether I could make it work.

Today, I get to help families make meaningful decisions, build alongside a team I care about, and work toward something I hope will last for generations.

I’m grateful I was willing to explore something unfamiliar.

As we continue growing, I’d love to connect with people who might be where I was: ready for a change, curious about a new opportunity, or simply wondering what else could be out there.

You don’t have to know whether becoming a financial advisor is your next move. I certainly didn’t.

If you’re driven, enjoy building relationships, and are willing to learn, let’s have a conversation. I’m happy to share what this career has looked like for me—the rewarding parts, the hard parts, and what it takes to get started.

Send me a message, or pass this along to someone who’s been talking about making a change.

These two deserve some recognition.

When I talk about what we’re building at Eikenridge, the “we” matters. Travis and Jackson are a huge part of this, and I couldn’t do it without them.

Travis Thielen —thank you for taking ownership, keeping us moving, and working through the details that turn our ideas into something real. So much of what you do happens behind the scenes, but it makes a difference every day for our clients and our team.

Jackson Melquist —thank you for the energy you bring, the care you put into our client relationships, and your willingness to keep learning and taking on more. You’re helping shape where we go from here.

You both give me people that I can count on, talk things through with, and figure out the next step alongside. That means a lot to me, especially when there’s a lot on our plates.

We have big objectives for Eikenridge. Getting there takes all of us bringing our strengths, holding each other accountable, and showing up for the people who trust us.

I’m proud of what we’re building together—and grateful I get to do it with you two.

Appreciate you, boys.

Depending on where we met, you might know a pretty different side of me.

Sport coat and a planning meeting.

Boots and a hoodie.

Something outdoors, preferably with a little mud involved.

All pretty accurate.

One thing I enjoy about being an advisor is getting to know those different sides of other people, too.

What they do for work is part of the conversation. So is what they could spend an entire Saturday doing.

What they’re proud of. What they want more time for.

Those details help me understand what someone wants their financial plan to support.

What’s something people who only know you through work might be surprised to learn?
