Our elections belong to all of us. This Sunday, let's pray for them together.

On Sunday, Oct. 11 at 4pm ET / 1pm PT, people of different faiths and political views are coming together online for Praying for America, a gathering of prayer, music and reflection to champion free, fair and safe elections that honor the will of the people.

In a season that keeps telling us to pick a side, this is a chance to stand on the same ground: neighbors who care about this country and about each other.

It's free, it's online, and all are welcome. Bring your family, your congregation, your friends across the aisle.

Register: https://www.eventbrite.com/e/praying-for-america-registration-2000664424149

Thank you to our partners Braver Angels, Interfaith America, faith250, Paths To Understanding, International Center for Religion & Diplomacy, National Institute for Civil Discourse, Living Room Conversations and Listen First Project.

The SIETAR USA Webinar Team would like to remind you of our upcoming event "Touching into Somatic Awareness: Tools for Building Cultural Empathy and Connection" presented by Marcia Bonato Warren on Wednesday, October 14th at 11:30am EDT.

The body holds our personal experiences and our cultural legacies; the ways we survive, and the ways we thrive. Our sensations, emotions, and “gut feelings” offer us insight into the information we have received in our lives and continue to gather as we encounter new and challenging situations. The language of the body in this way is more subtle than our thoughts and minds and often calls for our attention in moments that we miss or ignore.

Based on the work of Marcia Bonato Warren, MA, MA, LPC and her book, "Movement and Identity: Multiculturalism, Somatic Awareness and Embodied Code-Switching ®," this workshop will introduce foundational somatic tools that bring us closer to the ways we embody our identities and cultures, and through our own differences, develop empathy and understanding for the differences of others.

Registration is required. Please visit https://sietarusa.org/event-6756938 to learn more and register.
