Piper Sandler brought together its technology and consumer research platforms to host over 140 industry leaders at the inaugural Growth Frontiers Conference in Nashville, Tennessee.
The interactive event connected the cultures driving the future shaping of technology and consumer verticals with high-level leaders amongst private and public companies, private equity, venture capitalist sponsor coverage and institutional investors.
Nancy Lazar, chief global economist, hosted a standing room only luncheon providing a macro overview, sharing that the U.S. and global economies are likely to be worse over the next twelve months vs. the prior twelve months. Key long leading indicators - global short rates, global rates and oil prices - lead by a year and all point lower, so she believes that the "cake is baked" for a coming recession.
The event also included a fun run hosted by Allbirds CFO Mike Bufano and a night of line dancing, live music, whiskey tasting and local cuisine favorites.
We thank all who attended for their valuable insight and dedication to fostering the future of consumer technology.
