The VantageScore 4.0 is set to officially enter the mortgage space alongside the long-standing FICO Score. Following approval by Federal Housing Finance Agency, lenders will be required to adopt both models for loans backed by Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac—with implementation expected sometime in 2026.
