The Tuesday Tip this week: The new MN First Generation Homeownership Down Payment Assistance program will be available soon! You may eligible for up to $35,000 in down payment and closing cost assistance!

If one of your parents/guardians never owned a home or lost their home due to foreclosure, you may be eligible to receive $35,000 toward the purchase of your own home. This program will work in combination with any standard first mortgage. And with enough time spent in the home, this assistance loan is forgivable!

The Tuesday Tip this week: “What NOT to do during the mortgage pre-approval process.”

There are several things that can negatively impact your ability to qualify for a home that you may not even realize. Some of these are more impactful than others. Some may be more or less critical depending on your timing.

Bottom line: If you are considering purchasing a home, please contact me before making other financial decisions. We can come up with a strategy or alternative option to make sure you are still able to qualify for the home you desire!
