Mini-Grants for Farm to Early Childhood Garden Projects: Applications due May 2, 2022, 4:30 PM CTD.

The Minnesota Farm to Early Care Network is hosting another competitive mini-grant program for in-home child care providers (English and Spanish speaking) and early childhood centers/preschools. The goals of the mini-grant program are to:
1. Increase local Minnesota food purchasing by in-home providers, early care centers, preschools, Head Start Programs and other early care settings.
2. Promote healthy community food systems through increased access to nutrient dense local foods for children and their families.
3. Increase nutrition and agricultural education for children in early care settings.
4. Stimulate local economies through increased purchasing from local Minnesota farmers, producers, and distributors by early care programs.

The application materials are available at https://www.farmtoearlycaremn.org, at the “MN Mini-Grant” link. Materials are available in Spanish and English for in-home child care providers for grants in the amount of $250. Centers (i.e., preschools, Head Start programs, etc.) are eligible to compete for awards in the amount of $2,000.

Applications are due May 2, 2022 by 4:30 PM Central Time.
