TruStone Financial is a credit union driven to create exceptional financial experiences. We engage, educate and inspire our members to achieve lifelong financial well-being. Back in 1939, eight Minneapolis teachers decided to take control of their own financial security. They formed the Minneapolis Federation of Teachers Credit Union. Over the years the credit union has endured name changes, added

field of memberships and expanded across the Midwest. In 2020 a merger with Firefly Credit Union – Minnesota’s first financial cooperative – made us the second-largest credit union in the state. But your goals have always been our priority, and we exist to help you reach them. As a not-for-profit financial institution, we're different from a bank because our members are our owners (people who live, work, worship, attend school, or volunteer in our membership area). Our profits are returned as competitive rates, higher investment returns and fewer fees.

Join us in congratulating Joleen Morgan on her retirement after more than 30 years of service in Retail Banking! She has built lasting relationships with members, supporting their financial journeys, celebrating milestones and helping them achieve greater financial freedom. As Joleen shared, “Leaving the St. Cloud branch feels less like a goodbye and more like a celebration because of the tremendous growth and leadership development that has taken place. Summer fun continued with the return of our Water Balloon Toss Competition! Teammates paired up, put their tossing skills to the test and competed to see who could go the distance. Thank you to everyone who participated!

They’ve dedicated extra time alongside their busy schedules to strengthen their leadership skills to the next level. With the support of a TruStone Foundation donation, 15 teammates had the opportunity to participate in a group volunteer event with Rebuilding Together Minnesota, an organization dedicated to repairing homes, revitalizing communities, and rebuilding lives. Our team spent time tackling much needed yard work outdoors at one of the homes.🏠

Our Community Cares Crew & Fun Committee teamed up to help celebrate Miracle Treat Day! This annual Dairy Queen event donates at least $1 from every Blizzard purchased to the Children’s Miracle Network. 🍦🧡

The CCC and DIAC hosted one of our favorite annual traditions - the Balloon Pop Off Fundraiser! This year, we supported National Alliance on Mental Illness Minnesota (NAMI MN).

Employees purchased 799 balloons, donating a whopping $5,390! All proceeds were matched by the TruStone Foundation and $12,500 was donated to NAMI

Blaine, meet your neighborhood branch manager! Michelle has been with TruStone for almost 16 years and has worked at several locations including Roseville, Lyn Lake, Northeast and Fridley!

“I am passionate about getting involved with the schools in my branch community. I love that I am working in a community that I live in and love! My favorite thing about my team is how invested they are in each and every member that walks through our door. We are a family here and want to make sure that everyone leaves here feeling a part of it.”

Fun fact about Michelle: She has lived in Blaine for over 20 years and has four kids in Blaine schools!
