Happy Earth Day! On April 22nd, we celebrate Earth Day with an extra effort to "Think Globally, Act Locally". There are many simple ways you can help our planet, not just today but every day, such as minimizing trash you throw out, recycling, remembering to turn the lights off when you leave a room, etc.

Today as many participants are working hard and competing in the Boston Marathon, we remember when tragedy that struck our nation 2 years ago at the same event. At the time, this situation, as all tragedies do, made us think more about our families and those who are important to us, as well as thinking about how we react to life’s most unfortunate circumstances.

After many years of experience in insurance, I can tell you one thing for certain … You never know what life may have in store.

It’s spring, and that means lots of rain for many parts of our country. An increase in rainfall also means an increased risk for flooding, something which is my job to help protect you from. Even if you do not live in a flood prone area, you may be at risk (more than 20% of flood claims are from low or no risk areas!)
