This week, we are honored to recognize Jessica Lewis as our YWSC Community Hero! 🩵

Jessica’s commitment to serving our community and helping others is truly inspiring. Through her work with the Joe LeBlanc Food Pantry, she has touched the lives of countless families throughout Webster Parish and continues to make a meaningful difference right here in our community. 🫶🏼

“Some people talk about making a difference in their community. Jessica Lewis has spent years rolling up her sleeves and actually doing it.

I would love to nominate Jessica for Community Hero because I genuinely believe she is one of the people who helps make Minden the special place it is.

As Executive Director of the Joe LeBlanc Food Pantry, Jessica has dedicated countless hours to fighting food insecurity throughout Webster Parish. From feeding children during the summer and making sure seniors have groceries to coordinating volunteers and providing families with holiday meals, her work reaches people during some of their most difficult moments. And the impact is incredible. In 2025 alone, the pantry distributed 474,000 pounds of food, 5,688 food bags, and 8,473 summer meals.

But what I admire most about Jessica’s work is that it goes beyond feeding people. She has also helped create opportunities for our young people to volunteer, learn compassion and understand the importance of serving others.
To me, that is what a true community hero looks like.

Jessica reminds us that behind every food box is a family, behind every meal is a person and behind every successful community organization are people willing to give their time and hearts to something bigger than themselves. I hope she knows just how much her dedication means to Minden and the countless families whose lives have been touched by the Joe LeBlanc Food Pantry.

We're proud of Jessica and the role that Joe LeBlanc Food Pantry plays in our community!

Guest speaker for Thursday’s noon meeting of the Minden Lions Club will be Jessica Lewis.

Jessica grew up in Shreveport and graduated from Southwood High School. She has called Minden home since 2019 but has been serving the community since 2007. In 2009, she formally stepped into the role of Executive Director of Joe LeBlanc Food Pantry. Jessica also serves as the Client Service Specialist for Meriwether Wealth & Planning in downtown Minden.

Jessica and her husband, Chris, have two children, Logan and Morgan. Her passion is simple: to help people feel seen, valued, and loved—just as Jesus loves us.

Jessica will be introduced Thursday by Lion John Michael Cristler.

What a great morning at The Columns in Minden! Webster Parish Sheriff Jason Parker and Meriwether Partner/Financial Advisor Tracy L. Campbell spoke to residents about the latest scams and how to prevent becoming the next victim. Such a fantastic group! We appreciate The Columns owners and management for the invite.

Meriwether wishes to congratulate our friends at Kitchens Law Firm on 100 years of practice and continuous family ownership in Minden. Tracy Campbell, Meriwether partner and financial advisor, served as master of ceremonies for last night’s celebration. And Jessica Lewis, Meriwether client service specialist and executive director of the Joe LeBlanc Food Pantry, was recognized for Joe LeBlanc’s commitment to combat hunger in our community. Kitchens Law made JLFP their Community Commitment for 2026. What a great evening!
