Legacy Redevelopment Corporation LRC offers strategic lending solutions to Milwaukee and Racine small businesses and nonprofits. A U.S.

Treasury-certified Community Development Financial Institution (CDFI), LRC offers strategic lending solutions to small businesses and nonprofits with a bottom line goal to improve Milwaukee’s stressed neighborhoods. LRC partners with banks, grantors, other CDFIs or socially minded investors to provide financing to nonprofit and small business clients — many of which are minority-owned — who otherw

ise would not be able to access a loan in the traditional market. By helping businesses gain the capital they need to open their doors, purchase new equipment and supplies, or expand services and space, LRC is revitalizing communities throughout Milwaukee.

This month, we celebrate an important milestone: Terese Caro’s 10th anniversary with Legacy Redevelopment Corporation.

Terese joined LRC in July 2016 as vice president and chief lending officer. She brought decades of banking and finance experience—and a deep commitment to helping small businesses and nonprofit organizations gain access to the capital, guidance and opportunities they need to succeed.

Her leadership continued to grow alongside the organization. She was named president in 2020 and became president and CEO in 2021.

Over the past decade, Terese has helped LRC expand its reach beyond Milwaukee into Racine, attract millions of dollars in new capital and grants, develop important community partnerships, and strengthen support for entrepreneurs and organizations traditionally underserved by conventional financial institutions.

But her leadership cannot be measured by dollars alone. It can also be seen in the entrepreneurs who received an opportunity, the jobs supported and the neighborhoods strengthened.

For 10 years, Terese has helped LRC remain focused on its purpose: bridging the gap to bankability through strategic lending solutions.

Please join us in congratulating Terese Caro on 10 years of service, growth and community-centered leadership. We appreciate everything she has contributed to LRC and the communities we serve—and we look forward to the legacy still being built.

📣 Vendor Opportunity: 2026 Vibes on Villard Ave Concert Series.

Prosperme Inc's Prosperity Marketplace is partnering with Quasimondo Physical Theatre's North Milwaukee Art Park to showcase small businesses at the VVillard BID outdoor summer concert Series Summer Vibes on Villard which starts on July 22nd!

We are seeking a limited number of businesses and side hustlers to showcase their businesses. Definitely looking for people who are selling summer eats too.

This vendor opportunity is designed for entrepreneurs of all ages who want to increase their visibility, test their products or services in a live market, and strengthen their professional presentation while their business is still in the pilot or early-growth stage.

Participants under age 18 must be accompanied by an adult. All vendors are expected to present their businesses professionally.

Sales are not guaranteed, so there is no cost to participate. This helps ensure vendors do not take on an additional financial expense to access the opportunity. Vendors must provide their own tent, table, chairs, staffing, and all materials needed to operate their space.

Complete the sign-up form and select the concert date or dates you are interested in attending. We will follow up with all registrants via email so make sure you put an email you check regularly.

Summer may be slow… but your sales don’t have to be. ☀️

If business is feeling quieter than usual, use this season to get creative with your marketing. Try summer bundle deals, a referral challenge, Christmas in July offers, family fun promotions, limited-edition summer products, or a mid-year business check-in to reconnect with customers and build momentum.

Slow seasons are the perfect time to test new ideas, strengthen your operations, and prepare for what’s next.

Need support with business funding or planning? Contact LRC at lrcmke.com.

Like, save, and share this with an entrepreneur who could use a summer sales boost.
