Today marks a special milestone — Theresa Boyd Baird's 25th work anniversary at Baird and with our team! Congratulations to Theresa, on her many amazing accomplishments!

Anyone else remember what it was like in 1999?

- Trading happened based on fractions (16th’s to be precise) not with decimals.
- Investors were worried about interest rate hikes, and the 30-year US Treasury had a yield of 6.23%
- There were concerns about the dollar and about Russia (some things never change).
The trendy stock picks include some now obsolete names: MCI WorldCom, Excite@Home, America Online (AOL), Gateway. As well as some we still know and love: AT&T, Dell, Microsoft.
- And on this day 25 years ago, the Dow was at 10707.70, after going over 40000 for the first time this May it opened at 39408.06 today.

Ashley earned her Bachelor’s degree in Finance and a concentration in Applied Investment Management from Marquette University. We're pleased to announce that after graduation she's joining our team as a Client Assistant.
