In response to the Covid-19 crisis, the IRS will be issuing payments of $1,200 per adult and $500 per child under 17, to individuals who qualify. Qualified individuals have AGI under $75,000 for singles, $150,000 for married couples. If your income is above those amounts, the payment will be phased out up to $99k for singles and $198k for married couples.
TIP: The IRS will be looking at AGI on your most recently filed return. If your 2018 income falls within these limits, but 2019 is too high, hold off on filing 2019. If your 2018 is too high, but 2019 would qualify you, file immediately! These payments are expected out in the next few weeks.
