Closing Days are a time to celebrate— but it’s also important to know what really makes the deal official. Here’s an overview:
Documents are Signed
All parties review and sign required paperwork, including deeds, loan documents, and settlement statements.
Verifying Funds
The title company will need to confirm that all money has been received and cleared.
Final Review & Disbursement
Once all funds are collected and documents are signed and accepted by the mortgage lender if there is one, the title company distributes the money in escrow and records the deed so it's official!
Getting the Keys 🗝️
Once these steps are met, generally that means that the buyer can get the keys to their new home.
Tip: To avoid delays, send wires early and confirm details with your title company before closing day.
