Bet you didn’t know that the first Boys and Girls Club was founded in Hartford, CT in 1860 by four women—Mary Goodwin, Alice Goodwin, Elizabeth Hammersley, and Louisa Bushnell—to provide a safe, positive alternative for boys roaming the streets.

Nearly 160 years later we are helping our client the Connecticut Alliance of Boys & Girls Clubs with recognition of their early start here in Connecticut.

A bridge to Long Island from Connecticut has been discussed over the years. A plan by our client Steve Shapiro to have both states and the federal transportation agency study this is just starting off. We’re working to get support behind this off the ground.

This is the beginning of something that can completely transform much of our state - easing traffic congestion, boosting economic development and increasing tourism in the state
