Join Molina Healthcare of Utah and Iron County Care and Share for a family-friendly Community Resource Fair this week! The event will connect attendees with community resources, including information on food assistance programs, housing and shelter support, childcare resources, veteran support, and much more.

Knowing what to do in a choking emergency can save a life. On Heimlich Maneuver Day, take a moment to learn the difference between helping an infant and helping older children or adults.

For babies under 1 year: Use a combination of back blows and chest thrusts — not abdominal thrusts (the Heimlich maneuver).

For children over 1 and adults: Use abdominal thrusts (the Heimlich maneuver) if they are choking and unable to breathe or speak.

Call 911 if the person becomes unconscious or if the object doesn’t come out.

A few minutes of learning today could make all the difference tomorrow.
