Today I am in the Shenandoah NP. Got here in time to take in part of the AT, enjoy the scenery and got checked in just in time to watch my Gators win the SEC Softball tournament. GO Gators!!! On to the NCAAs.

Yesterday I had an appointment with Safelite to replace the windshield on one of my cars. I had to block off 1p-6p for the technician to come here. After 6p, I received no communication from the technician or the company as to why he was a no show. Now I am looking for someone else to do the job.

This is a very interesting article concerning HSA accounts and Medicare. There are a lot of assumptions regarding the two and how they interact but as always, "the devil is in the details".

Many people believe they must stop funding their HSA 6 months before Medicare begins. But this rule does not apply to everyone who has an HSA. Our expert has the details.

I have started doing Long Term Care policy reviews with my clients. We will be discussing the current values of their policy, what is required to file a claim, updating contact information and importantly, the contact information for those I am allowed to assist in the event of a claim. Having an identified person (in writing) allows me to avoid HIPAA violations and speeds up the process. Today I got to tour the renovated Buildings on the Chester Campus of John Tyler CC. The difference is amazing. The spaces are lighter and the areas are brighter. The science area has incredible labs designed for small group participation. There is an EMT lab with a mock up of an ambulance that moves (you get the real feel of being on a road). The nursing program is back on campus! You can start your nursing career or opt for a technical area of nursing support. And the College Workforce Alliance has space for instruction directly related to local industry needs. Including CDL drivers. John Tyler CC continues to grow and develop as a quality education center and one you should be proud to support.
