Will my auto insurance cover a rented moving truck?
Many PERSONAL auto insurance policies define "Your Insured Vehicle" as a "Private Passenger Vehicle" with a load capacity of not more than 2,000 pounds or a Gross Vehicle Weight (GVW) no more than 12,000 pounds. Personal auto insurance policies may also exclude vehicles with a cab that is separated from the cargo area. Just as certain types of commercial vehicles may not be covered, moving trucks may likely exceed the weight limits or be a type of vehicle excluded in your personal auto insurance policy and therefore MAY NOT be covered.
Read your policy and its definitions and understand that you MAY NEED TO BUY insurance from the truck rental company PRIOR to your move.

This is not a joke! Social Security faces a funding shortfall as the baby boomers retire. The California Legislature is considering legislation (SB 1234) that will force small employers with five or more employees (5-7 million workers) to enroll their employees in a state-run retirement savings program (a defined-benefit pension in disguise).
Workers would be automatically enrolled (unless they opt out) and have to contribute 3% of their
wages. A retirement board consisting of government officials and appointees would invest the money and guarantee a still-to-be determined rate of return. Employers would be required to

After a Disaster (house fire, large water loss, etc.), be wary of signing a contract with a Public Insurance Adjuster who contacts you (often before you've even had a chance to report the claim directly) to be your representative in reporting and settling your claim with your insurance company for a negotiated fee equal to a percentage of the total claims payment. They were not referred to you by your Fire Department or your insurance company but instead likely used scanning devices to track 911 emergency dispatches and public records (City/County Recorded Property Deeds) to gain your information. Your insurance company will NOT pay their fee, YOU WILL. Similar to hiring an attorney, your insurance company's claims adjuster will be legally restricted to only speak and send correspondence including payments to your Public Insurance Adjuster who YOU HIRED to be YOUR representative.
Their fee could leave you with insufficient funds to pay for your repairs!
