And they’re off! ❤️

The Leadership Midlothian Class of 2027 officially kicked off this past week, and we are so excited for this group and everything they’re about to experience over the next 10 months.

This is our fourth year being part of Leadership Midlothian, and Kilie getting to co-chair this program continues to be one of our favorite ways to serve our community.

This class will get an inside look at the people, businesses, schools, industries, organizations and local government that make Midlothian and Ellis County what they are, all while developing their own leadership skills and building relationships with one another.

They have no idea yet how quickly these months will go or how much they’ll learn along the way.

Class of 2027, let’s do this! ❤️

Kaden, a recent Heritage High School graduate who is headed to UT Dallas, spent the day job shadowing Ryan and getting a behind-the-scenes look at what it takes to run a small business, lead a team and serve your community.

We LOVE getting opportunities like this.

There are so many things you can learn in a classroom, but there's something different about sitting beside someone for a day and seeing what leadership and business ownership actually look like.

Wishing all of our students, teachers, staff, administrators, and especially the parents, a wonderful first day of school!

From the little ones walking into school for the very first time to the seniors beginning their final year, today is a big day for families all across Midlothian and our surrounding communities.

Slow down in those school zones, watch for buses, give yourself a few extra minutes this morning, and soak up those first-day pictures. They really do grow up way too fast. ❤️

And just like that… our first summer internship has come to an end. ❤️

It feels like we were just welcoming these incredible students into Ryan Mason State Farm, and somehow today we were already saying goodbye.

This summer was about so much more than learning what happens inside an insurance office. We wanted them to experience what it means to be part of a small business that is deeply rooted in its community, to show up, serve others, build relationships, represent yourself professionally, work as a team, and understand that the way you treat people matters.

They joined us at community events, served alongside us, met local business leaders, learned the day-to-day side of running a business, and became part of our Ryan Mason State Farm family along the way.

We are SO proud of this first group. They set the bar incredibly high for every intern class that follows.

Now we get to send two of them off to begin their freshman year of college 🎓, while the other three head back for an exciting senior year at Midlothian High School and Heritage High School.

To all of you: thank you for trusting us with part of your summer. Keep showing up. Keep working hard. Keep serving others. And never underestimate where the relationships you build today may take you tomorrow.

We can’t wait to watch what each of you does next. ❤️

One of the most important lessons we want our interns to learn has nothing to do with insurance.

It’s learning to serve others.

This week our team spent time volunteering at Manna House, giving our interns the opportunity to experience firsthand what community service looks like outside the office.

At Ryan Mason State Farm, we believe leadership starts with serving others, and we’re proud to help prepare the next generation by teaching that lesson early.

Thank you to Manna House for allowing us to be a small part of the incredible work you do every day.
