Before you pass away , remove your children as the beneficiaries for everything that you own. I know that sounds crazy , but you DONT want that.
If you want to pass down your assets to them after you pass away , then put all of the assets you own in a irrevocable trust , and then make your kids the beneficiaries of that trust.
When you go this route , your children can bypass what is called “the PROBATE period”. That process can be very long & ugly !
When you put your assets in a trust , your children have immediate access to the assets when you pass away. ALSO, you want to make sure to have a life insurance policy that covers your mortgage , so that when you pass away , your policy will pay off the mortgage and now your children will own the property out right !

Really proud of the way that our All-Star team handled a very tough loss. Had some calls that did not go their way tonight but handled it with class. It is definitely a credit to the coaches and parents. Kids played their tales off and came up a bit short. But the future is bright for Greenwood baseball.
