Over the past few weeks, Financial Health and Harmony has been a little quieter than usual on social media. What many people don’t know is that, after a decade of successful Rheumatoid Arthritis treatment, I recently experienced a sudden change in my health, and it stopped me in my tracks for a bit.
Thankfully, I’m now back on the path to wellness.
As I’ve been navigating appointments, symptoms, uncertainty, and all the emotions that come with it, I found myself thinking back to another season of my life — one where I was working full-time, raising children, pursuing my MBA and CTFA, and building a career, all while unknowingly battling the early symptoms of Rheumatoid Arthritis.
At the time, I didn’t have answers. I just knew I was exhausted, in pain, overwhelmed, and trying to keep everything moving forward.
Physical health and financial health are deeply connected, even though we don’t always talk about them together. When your health changes, it affects your energy, your work, your plans, your stress levels, your confidence, and sometimes your entire sense of stability.
Through this experience, so many others have reached out and shared that they, too, are quietly carrying similar struggles while still trying to hold life together. And if I’m hearing these stories firsthand from so many people already, I can only imagine how many others are out there struggling silently.
Because of that, Financial Health and Harmony will be expanding the conversation beyond traditional financial wellness to include the very real connection between physical health and financial health. In the coming days, I’ll be sharing more about what I’ve learned from both my past experiences and the journey I’m walking through now. I hope you’ll join me.
