One of the most rewarding parts of my work is seeing young clients take ownership of their financial future early. 💛

Last year, I had the privilege of helping two young adults build their foundation - creating a budget, opening Roth IRAs, and setting up short-term savings. A year later, they reached out again to sit down and plan financially for their upcoming wedding this summer.

🔟 Ways to Improve Heart Health

1. Balance calorie intake with physical activity. Get at least 150 minutes per week of moderate aerobic activity.
2. Add a variety of fruits and vegetables like apples, oranges, broccoli, squash & corn.
3. Incorporate whole grains like brown rice, oatmeal, & quinoa.
4. Focus on healthy protein sources- beans, nuts, shrimp, tuna.
5. Replace saturated fats with nontropical liquid plant oils - olive oil, canola oil, sunflower oil & avocado oil.
6. Eat minimally processed food.
7. Minimize added sugars.
8. Cut down on salt.
9. Limit alcohol.
10. Follow these recommendations.

ATTN: New Castle County Delaware Homeowners‼️
🏡 Tax Assessment Update 🏡

If you opened your mailbox yesterday and found a REVISED property tax bill, no need to worry.

Take note 📝 :
1. This is not an additional bill. It replaces the bill that is normally due on 9/1.
2. Your lender will handle the payment if you have an escrow account on your mortgage.

What happened:
The original bill, sent in July (and many homeowners did not receive a mailed copy), was based on the county’s reassessment. New Castle County later made adjustments to how property taxes were calculated, which delayed the due date. Now that everything is finalized, the updated bill has been issued.

If you do NOT escrow or do NOT have a mortgage:
✅ Yes, this amount is due by 12/31/25.

If you DO escrow:
Log in to your mortgage portal and review your escrow activity. Your lender may have already paid the earlier bill. If they overpaid, you can contact them to request a refund of the difference.
