South Africa reminded me that money is freedom.

I just got back, and something shifted in me.

Being there felt incredibly liberating.

The beauty of the country.
The culture.
The conversations with brilliant professionals from around the world.

But there was another realization that kept sitting with me.

Because the American dollar stretches so much further there, I noticed something I wasn’t expecting.

I stopped thinking about money.

Not in a reckless way.
In a freeing way.

I wasn’t doing the quiet math in my head every time I ordered something.
I wasn’t calculating every experience.
I wasn’t asking myself, “Should I really spend this?”

I was just living.

Saying yes to dinner with incredible views.
Exploring beautiful spaces.
Enjoying moments without the constant mental weight of cost.

And it made me realize something I talk about with my clients all the time.

Money is more than numbers.

It’s mental freedom.

When you have access, margin, and resources, your mind is freed up for something bigger:

Connection.
Joy.
Experiences.
Presence.

South Africa reminded me that financial freedom isn’t just about wealth.

It’s about how light you feel when money stops controlling your decisions.

And I came back feeling energized, clear, and honestly ready to take on the world.

There’s something about being in South Africa that feels freeing.

Not just because of the views.

I boarded the flight.

Fear of leaving work.

People think my glow comes from good products. It actually comes from boundaries.

I took this photo on a regular day.
No makeup.
No filters.
Just me… wrapped up, rested, and finally breathing.

People always assume the glow comes from a fancy routine.
It doesn’t.
It comes from the emotional weight I stopped carrying.

For years, my skin reflected the chaos of my life — the overthinking, the overgiving, the exhaustion that I tried to hide with smiles and productivity.

But this?
This softness you see on my face now?
It didn’t show up until I learned to choose myself.

When I stopped saying yes out of guilt.
When I stopped being the emotional support blanket for everyone else.
When I stopped stretching myself thin just to keep the peace.

My face relaxed.

I know I’m not the only mom that has been here. 😂
My attempt to make a video went all the way left.
My daughter took the opportunity to be loud as ever and jump in the shot.
I was forgetting what I was even talking about.

When I watched this back it was so funny I had to share it anyway.

A tree stacked so high it looked like a Macy’s display.
