Yesterday, the Clay County Farm Bureau Women’s Committee held the 3rd Annual Women in Ag Luncheon to celebrate National Agriculture Month. CCFB Women’s Chair, Alisha Hickey kicked off the event. Attendees were treated to a wonderful lunch provided by Ridgeview High School’s culinary program and heard legislative updates from Wendy Smith, inspiring words from Maria Knapp - President, Florida Sheriffs Youth Ranches, and opportunities to serve with the Clay County Fair- Florida’s Agribilities contest for students with special needs from Karen Dressel. Lake Asbury FFA member, Aubrey Brock, presented the FFA Creed and Florida Farm Bureau Federation women’s committee member, Bonnie Bailey, led in prayer. Thank you to Farm Credit of Florida, Clay County Agricultural Fair, and Amazing Grace Family Farms for providing door prizes and Florida Farm Credit for sponsoring the delicious desserts. Thank you to Mrs. Norma Jean Parrish, Cooper Hickey, and Rebecca and Savannah Rathjen for making the beautiful flower arrangements and to the Farm Bureau men including Chad Hollingsworth, Florida Farm Bureau Insurance, Randolph Padgett, and Michael Rathjen for serving! It was another Farm Bureau wonderful event!
