When most people think about their retirement plan, one of the first things that comes to mind is to “diversify your portfolio.” Generally speaking from a risk standpoint i.e. not putting all your eggs in one basket. What most people aren’t typically thinking about is diversifying their retirement portfolio from a TAX standpoint. How much of your hard earned dollars will be taxable when your income becomes fixed at retirement?
