MC Rotary Club to host Michigan City Trivia Night

Michigan City, IN — The Rotary Club of Michigan City will host a community trivia night Wednesday, Nov. 6, at the FOP Dunes Lodge No. 75, with a theme that’s all about Michigan City.

“So You Think You Know City” will feature questions highlighting the people, places, and history that have shaped the community. Categories will include Sports & Recreation, Locally Owned Businesses, History, Landmarks, Politics, Famous Residents & Celebrities, Schools, Festivals & Events, Food & Drink, and Architecture – with a few bonus rounds added throughout the night.

“This is a chance for the community to come together, have some fun, and show off our City pride,” said Jessica O’Brien, president of the Rotary Club of Michigan City. “Whether you’ve lived here your whole life or just moved in, we’d love to see folks forming teams, sharing stories, and celebrating what makes our city special – all while supporting a great cause.” Teammates don’t have to be trivia experts to join in. The event is designed for everyone from history buffs to casual fans of Michigan City life, focusing on community connection, local pride, and charitable impact.

Proceeds will benefit the Open Door Adolescent Health Center at Michigan City High School, which provides confidential, no-cost physical and mental health services to students, helping support their overall well-being.
Team registration is $100 for a team of six to eight players. Doors will open at the FOP Dunes Lodge #75, 416 U.S. Hwy 20, Michigan City, at 5:30 p.m., and trivia will begin at 6:30 p.m. A cash bar will be available, teams are welcome to bring snacks, and snacks will be sold throughout the evening. Space is limited to 18 teams, and advance registration is required at www.mcrotary.org.

The Rotary Club of Michigan City is part of Rotary International, a global network of 1.4 million neighbors, friends, and leaders who volunteer their skills and resources to tackle important issues in their communities and around the world. Rotarians Larry Piotrowski and Jessica O'Brien with our friend, Katie Eaton supporting and volunteering at the Lubeznik Center for the Arts at their annual Arts Festival this past weekend. This is a wonderful event that showcases local artists and encourages families to get involved in the arts in our community. Thank you to the Lubeznik staff, volunteers, and the incredibly talented artists who make this event so much fun every year.
