Today is one of the most unforgettable days of my life.

After years of writing, rewriting, setting it aside, picking it back up, and refusing to give up… I finally held the very first printed copy of Our Legacy and 92 Days in my hands.

Jim captured this moment as I opened the box, and I’m so thankful he did. This isn’t just a package arriving—it’s the realization of a dream that has been years in the making.

I want to thank all of my friends who encouraged me along the way. Whether you reminded me to keep writing, believed in me when I doubted myself, shared my excitement, or simply said, “Don’t give up,” you were part of this journey.

This book is my story—one of family, caregiving, loss, resilience, forgiveness, and discovering purpose through life’s unexpected twists. My hope is that it finds the people who need it most.

📚 Eight Years Ago, I Never Imagined I’d Be Writing These Words…

Today, I’m honored to share that my memoir, Our Legacy and 92 Days, is officially available on Amazon.

Many of you know me through John A. Barton Insurance Agency, Fur Pawz, community events, or simply as a fellow member of our community. What many don’t know is that for the past eight years, I’ve been writing the most personal story of my life.

This memoir is about the final 92 days of my father’s life, the family secret that forever changed my understanding of my past, and the journey through grief, caregiving, forgiveness, identity, and healing that followed.

Writing this book wasn’t just about telling a story. It became part of my own healing process. My hope is that it offers comfort to caregivers, encourages families to have the conversations that matter most, and reminds anyone facing loss that they are not alone.

I’m incredibly grateful for the support this community has shown me over the years. Reaching this milestone is something I’ll always cherish.

Today was a milestone I’ll never forget. Thank you to everyone who came out to celebrate our ribbon-cutting and the 50-year legacy of John A. Barton Insurance Agency. Seeing so many friends, clients, family, and community members there made the day incredibly special.

A special thank you to my amazing team:

I just want the cheapest insurance.”
