Fred Austin is the senior underwriter at CapiFunds. My name is Fred. I've spent more than 11 years working in the financial industry. As a junior underwriter for Knight Capital Funding, I began my career. I would review hundreds of files each day while working at Knight, but one thing always jumped out to me as a serious problem. I would observe files borrowing $300,000 over five positions, resulting in five separate withdrawals from the borrower's account. I questioned why it couldn't have been paid in one lump sum since these businesses could clearly handle the $300,000 figure.
The main cause is the robotic underwriting algorithm used by most lenders. They ask for three months' worth of bank statements and input a bunch of data into a spreadsheet that generates an approval. We think that no two companies are alike.
We are firm believers in offering each business we work with a unique underwriting strategy. This strategy keeps our clients on a single payment schedule, meets their long-term demands, and fosters a lasting connection.
CapiFunds LLC operates out of two locations.
We have an office in Florida, located in the WeWork building at 200 S Biscayne Blvd.
We recently relocated our New York headquarters to the WeWork building on 315 W 36 ST 5th Floor.
