What an amazing event with the Urban League of Broward County for their Homeownership and Resource Expo.

The Mortgage Firm Miami Gardens had the pleasure of being a vendor at this event.
Last year, we actually collaborated with Urban League of Broward County for the 1st time and this year it definitely had elements of the success of last year INDEED!😁👏🏽👍🏽

Though their were NO SPEAKING opportunities p***e, our Team PIVOTED to provide TRUE IMPACT in what we called "Mini Informational Sessions" throughout the day lasting around 15-20 minutes with a 10 minute Q & A! This is what the attendees stated TRULY WANTED & NEEDED.

Be careful who you listen to and take advice from. 🥺

Worked with a client for over a year.🗓 Because of limitations they had to be in a specific area, low credit scores, limited income, lower sales price. Approved for $143,500.00 in down payment assistance.💰💲

Everything ready to go. 👍🏽Days before closing needed to pull a new credit report. Credit scores went down.🚽👎🏽

Upon closer examination borrower had closed their ONLY credit card. 💳When asked why would you do that❓️🤦🏽‍♀️The reply was that so and so 🤡on their job told them that it was better to not have credit cards when buying a house.🏡

I went through a wide range of emotions, sick to my stomach🤮, outrage😡 disbelief😱 but the strongest one was profound sadness and grief 😭because I knew how hard the journey had been to get to that point and how much that roof over that family's head was needed. They ended up not being able to close.
