Before stepping foot into the USA 🇺🇸, entrepreneurship was foreign to me. I never had a business. I never work for myself. I never sell anything. All I’ve been taught is to get a job and pay my bills on time . My first couple of years in USA was all about JOB = Just Over Broke. I remember clearly my pastor back then told me to find a job, pay my bills… and be happy with the church.
However, It didn’t take me to long to see the way people in this country(especially in my community) are giving 8-10 hours a day of their life to just make a living wasn’t that attractive. For me it wasn’t the American dream. I wanted so bad to get out of that place.
A couple of years ago I decided to start working for myself. I was uncertain, unconfident and doubtful 🤨. Thank God, I met some great people in my life that taught me to continuously read books, listen to audios and follow other successful people. They change my mindset of just over broke to a journey of entrepreneurship.
Today, I stand as a testament to the power of transformation. No longer confined to the limitations of my past, I have embraced entrepreneurship, empowering myself to make a meaningful impact on the lives of others. Today I’m no longer in the place that I used to be. I am able to help more people; I contribute more to church and of course feel better about myself.
My point is: if you’re in a place that you don’t like, you can change it. Through initiative and guidance, you have the power to rewrite your narratives, turning adversity into opportunity, and dreams into reality.
