What was interesting about this hike was that the night before, there was a thunderstorm ⛈ and the whole road to get to the viewpoint was very muddy. Upon arriving, our car got stuck on the path to get to the trailhead parking.
I know for most people, having their car get stuck would have been a huge sign for them to not do the hike. Factoring in having less than 5 hours of sleep and body aches from the adventure the day before would be cause enough for them to cancel and turn back.
Trust me, I was so tired and was close to just letting the day defeat me, but I made a goal to see as much as I could in Utah in the short amount of time we had. Since that goal was set, we figured it out, parked further away in the drier sand area so the car wouldn’t get stuck, hiked an extra 0.5 miles away from the trailhead, and risked slipping and sliding in the mud to get to the viewpoint.
It was a steep incline towards the end of the hike, so my body got more sore, but the view at the end is always worth it.
Every mountain top is within reach, if you just keep climbing. In life, every goal you have is achievable, if you just keep going. And only those who will risk going too far, can possibly find out how far they can go. ⛰
Shout out to the dream team 😏
