Awareness is key to preventing scams - The first thought I had was my fellow Peabody Area Chamber of Commerce member Allisa with Senior Tech Safety.

Keep the lines of communication open with your parents and grandparents and find the resources in the community to educate and prevent scammers from taking advantage of your family. Allisa is a great resource and pursues this out of a passion for preventing people from being scammed!

Scams and fraud can be especially devastating to older adults as they don’t always have the means to recover financially. Know the signs of financial exploitation in elders and help protect them against future abuse.
