The MA Registry of Motor Vehicles has changed how it handles vehicle inspection stickers.
As of November 1, 2022, vehicles that pass inspection will get a new sticker with the month the LAST sticker expired.
Before this change, vehicles got an inspection sticker for the current month of the most recent inspection.

MA RMV News:

Starting Monday 09/26, you will no longer be able to book an appointment to register or transfer registration to your vehicle. You can simply walk into a local RMV, have your car dealer assist, or your insurance agent! :)
