🧠Financial terms that sound scarier than they are...

APR = Annual Percentage Rate (Sounds fancy. Actually pretty simple.)

What is it? The total cost of borrowing money for a year, including interest and all other fees.

Why does it matter? A lender might brag about a low interest rate, but stack it with fees behind the scenes. APR brings to light origination fees, closing costs, and paperwork charges. APR forces everyone to put their real annual cost on the table so you can compare apples to apples.

That’s why we love APR around here—it keeps lenders honest, and honest is kind of our thing.
