We hope everyone is safe in the aftermath of Hurricane Zeta. If you have damage from the storm, claims reporting numbers for individual carriers can be found here. If you're not sure which carrier your policy is with, call us at 504-324-7903 and we'll be glad to help.

Remember to take photos of the damage.

Take steps to minimize additional damage from occurring, such as covering damaged sections of roof with a tarp or sealing off broken windows to prevent water intrusion. If you take steps to mitigate additional damage and incur out of pocket expenses, be sure to get a receipt so that you can provide a copy to your adjuster later.

Avoid scams by using reputable local contractors who have references. Use licensed and insured professionals for your repairs, especially if it involves roofing, electrical, AC/heating, or plumbing.

As we continue to monitor the COVID-19 pandemic, we would like to ensure our TWFG family that, as always, our policy is caring. We would also like to encourage everyone to practice the following healthy routines in order to help prevent the spread of this virus:
- Wash hands frequently with soap and water for at least 20 seconds.
- Avoid touching eyes, nose, and mouth.
- Avoid close contact with people who are sick.
- Stay home when sick.
- Cover mouth and nose with a tissue when coughing or sneezing.
- Clean and disinfect frequently touched objects and surfaces.

The National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP) has been reauthorized through June 14. This is only a two week extension, so it is still vital to make sure that any new flood policies are purchased before the program lapses, especially as we are heading into hurricane season.

WASHINGTON — The National Flood Insurance Program received a temporary reprieve on Thursday — just one day before it was set to expire and after two previous attempts were thwarted.

The National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP) will expire on May 31 unless Congress acts before then. Existing flood policies will continue to be serviced and claims processed as normal during an NFIP lapse. However, applications for new flood policies won't be processed during an NFIP lapse. So don't take a chance going into hurricane season. If you don't already have flood insurance, don't wait to get it.

WASHINGTON — The National Flood Insurance Program is again dangerously close to lapsing after two House Republicans have blocked attempts to temporarily extend the program before it lapses Friday.

It is an honor for our agency to be named to the TWFG President's Club for the 4th consecutive year. Kerry received the award on behalf of our office at the annual TWFG Convention in The Woodlands, TX, earlier this month.

The 2019 TWFG National Convention at The Woodlands Resort was a smashing success. Over 600 Agents, Producers, Carrier Partners and Home Office Staff joined us over the weekend to reconnect, learn, grow, share and celebrate.
