Tonight my heart is with the people who don’t get to stay home when the weather turns dangerous. While many of us are inside where it’s warm, there are men and women out in the wind, the ice, and the blowing snow — showing up because someone has to.
Police officers watching over quiet streets. Firefighters ready to respond in seconds. EMS crews answering calls that can’t wait. Grocery workers keeping shelves stocked so families can eat. Utility and line crews working high above frozen ground to keep lights and heat on. National Guard members standing by to help wherever they’re needed.
These aren’t just uniforms.
These are mothers, fathers, sons, daughters — people with families of their own who worry every time the phone rings or the weather gets worse.
Storms like this don’t just test the roads.
They test strength. Endurance. Commitment.
And every time, these workers step forward instead of stepping back.
So tonight, I’m saying a prayer for every hardworking person helping communities through this massive winter storm. For steady hands. For safe travels. For protection in the cold and dark hours. For warm homes waiting for them at the end of a long shift.
We see you.
We appreciate you.
We are grateful beyond words for the sacrifices you make when conditions are at their worst.
May you stay safe on every mile. ❄️🙏
