Even if the price is right the location may not be.

Some things to consider when choosing the right neighborhood:
- Access to major roadways
- Commuting time to
o Work
o Grocery Stores
o Schools, Parks, Gym
- Research crime rates, schools, other amenities
- Long term property value trends
- Visit the area at different times of day
- Check the zoning and nearby future development plans

Mortgage rates (blue), Core CPI (ie: inflation - in green), and Federal Funding Fee (dotted) over the last 50 years. When people talk about waiting for the Fed to lower rates before buying a home you can show them that the mortgage rate pattern is more aligned with inflation - and that, other than the past 20 years, all 3 were consistently over today's levels. As inflation comes down so will mortgage rates (as will the funding rate), which is why so many economists point to inflation as the driving factor behind all borrowing rates.
