How generous are teacher's compensations? We need more benefits for educators nationwide.

One argument is that despite pay that is lower than similarly skilled professions, teachers receive much more generous benefits than many other professions. Is that true?

Desk Rent for your students?

I personally love this concept in teaching students about real world finance, but I know this idea might not resonate with some. I have seen so many financially uneducated students leave school. This makes me sad, and I love seeing someone trying to teach real world concepts. What is your opinion about the article?

"For the kids, it's just fun to pretend like they are doing 'grown-up' things," Mr. Vuong told Newsweek.

The frustration, anger, and exhaustion all hit at once. It’s the end of the day and that one kid in your class is so disrespectful. This is one kid that you won’t forget even 10 years down the road, and their name will go on the “do not name your own child these names” list. You know who I'm talking about. You say their name a million times a day. You keep one eye glued on them the whole time, and then you are relieved when lunch comes or the bell rings. You have a ton of other things on your plate that is hard to deal with, and then you have that kid on top of everything. When admin comes to evaluate you, you hope and pray that kid doesn't come to school. Your students don't need a stressed-out crazy teacher. They don’t need an enraged, hopeless, distracted, empty and exhausted, overwhelmed teacher. They need a happy, crazy, and excited teacher. Unfortunately, those negative feelings are more common than not. I used to come home from the day feeling done with everything. I just wanted to sit there and veg. Just like the school day comes with all different emotions. The real world comes with them too. Usually, those feelings stem from not having enough money throughout the month. When life throws challenges at us, it would make it easier to be able to hire someone else to take care of the problem or be able to buy whatever is needed without worrying if your card would go through. Just like there is a structure to follow in your classroom, there is a structure to follow when dealing with money.
This structure is called the financial house. The foundation is insurance. You need to protect your greatest asset, and that asset is you. If you were to die, your family would be left with bills to pay and emotional stress with no money coming in. When my husband and I got married, my dad gave us a life insurance Christmas present. At the time, I thought that was the worst gift ever, but now I know better. I’m thankful for that policy. My family is protected in case one of us dies. The best kind of protection life insurance is term life. The next floor to construct is a short-term savings. The third level is Debt Elimination. The fourth level is long term savings, and the roof is your goals and dreams.
If you follow the financial house, then the stress, and feelings of anger, hopelessness, distraction, emptiness, exhaustion, and being overwhelmed go away. You would be free. Just imagine how you would feel to have a short-term and long-term savings, no debt, and be able to fulfill your dreams. Message us today for an apt to get your financial house in order.

Your benefits might be hurting you.
We go to work. Get a good job. Sign up for benefits, and we'll be taken care of. WRONG! Pensions are going bankrupt across the states. Teacher Health insurance in some states is too expensive to ensure those in the family that aren't teachers. More district money is being spent on teacher benefits than on overall k-12 spending. In some cases, teacher savings plans don't save enough for a teacher to retire on. There is a solution. If you would like to learn the solution, message us.

The frog in the pot never notices the water temperature rising until it’s too late. This unfortunate metaphor is playing out in education policy. As Max Marchitello shows in a new report for TeacherPensions.org, employee benefits are slowly taking a larger and larger share out of school district b...

You have debt! CNBC published an article stating, "The average American has $90,460 in debt." You are not alone!

The more you make, the more you spend. Being successful financially
is not about how much you make. It's about how much you save. It's hard to save money when debt eats up your pay check. How do you get out of debt and still have savings? The answer is simple, but you have to be disciplined to do it. It's debt stacking. First, pay yourself before anything or anyone else. Second, pay your minimums on all your debt, but pick one(just one) to pay more than the minimum. There is a science to the order you pay off your debt. Three, once the one you picked is paid, don't spend that money. Instead, add that money onto the next debt you pick. Keep this cycle going until all your debts are paid off. Four, when they are all paid off, take the money you've been spending on your debt and save it. There are several good places to save your money, but putting it in a bank savings with less than 4% interest is not a great savings for the long term. If you are interested in getting a free financial game plan to save more and pay off debt faster, message us. If you want to teach these concepts to someone else, we are hiring...just message us for an interview.

This goes to every teacher who has one of those days or years. I always wished my critics really knew what it was like to be a teacher. One year in particular was very difficult. I felt angry! Its frustrating when people don't understand. This was my final stand. I taught Chemistry in a school that didn't have enough classrooms. I wasn't given a classroom, but I was given a cart to put all my materials on. I traveled from one room to another. When one teacher would have prep time, I would get their classroom. This was very challenging, and as the year progressed, I became very angry. Some teachers didn't want to leave "their" classroom because they needed to get their stuff done. I couldn't blame them. I knew how they felt. I had no time to set up experiments before the students came in. I came home tired, and frustrated. This experience was the straw that broke the camel's back. I started looking for a different teaching position. Financial Education found my husband and I. Now, I had no more angry, frustrated, and domineering people to be around at work, and I had no more non-motivated students. I earned the respect I wanted. I worked with people who wanted to be taught. My frustrations were at an end. If a part time position in financial education interests you, please message us.
