On Wednesday I took the day to go down to Boston to celebrate Mike Worrell's graduation from Northeastern University's MBA program.

He's not one to bring attention to his successes but as a proud girlfriend, I will! Mike had been working on this degree for 3 years… before I had even met him which is crazy to say. However, for the last two, I've had a front row seat to the hard work and dedication this degree represents. The early mornings he spent getting through material, late evenings collaborating with his peers and weekends taking exams and finalizing projects. All while balancing his many other life commitments - work, family and friends just to name a few.

What's even more impressive is that I hardly ever heard a complaint; just a recap of what he had learned and found interesting that day at the dinner table. What I saw was someone whose intentions were pure - undertaking this milestone to better himself, to continue learning and to progress in his career. It wasn't about checking a box or getting the letters next to his name, it was about growth and advancement, as a person and in his career.

Yesterday I was proud of all he accomplished but every day I am lucky to surround myself with someone who has so much drive, determination and passion for all he does. Someone who brings all those things out in me, all while cheering me on in the process. Just another reminder to spend your life with people who make you better.

Congratulations to Mike on such an incredible accomplishment and to all the other 2026 grads at Northeastern & beyond!!
