Credit cards are credit cards, the limit of the card isn't what impacts your score it's how much you use and how responsible you are with paying it back. If you're only getting offers for low limit cards or secured cards, you more than likely haven't had a great history of being responsible with them. Here's the good news, if you can prove to creditors that's a thing of the past and that you're responsible now – you'll start to see those better offers rolling in. PLEASE READ THIS!!! Did you know that there are two different types of credit pulls and the difference in the scores can be vast? The scores you see through your free apps are called consumer scores, these are soft pulls and don't impact your credit. These scores are typically higher than what we as lenders pull because they're not specific to a mortgage. To get you qualified for a home loan we have to pull credit, there's no way around it.
