Before heading down the mountain, I always make sure I have a good helmet on.

A quality helmet is not cheap, but it protects something valuable. My head. When it comes to safety, good quality gear is always worth it.

That raises a bigger question. If our head is worth protecting on the mountain, what is our life worth to the people who depend on us?
