Only 62 more days.

Open enrollment for 2022 health coverage in New Jersey ended on beings on November 1, 2022 January 31, 2022.

Outside of the open enrollment window, New Jersey residents can enroll or make changes to their coverage if they qualify for a special enrollment period.

And New Jersey also allows a special enrollment period due to pregnancy, which is only available in a handful of other states!

Make sure you are getting the coverage you NEED today.

On July 31st, 2020 Governor Phil Murphy signed into law legislation restoring a key funding source of the Affordable Care Act that will be used to make health coverage more affordable.

New Jerseyans now have access to a state subsidy – called New Jersey Health Plan Savings (NJHPS) – that will lower the cost of health insurance. These new savings are only possible because New Jersey is now operating the Health Insurance Marketplace through GetCovered.NJ.Gov.

The New Jersey Health Plan Savings (NJHPS) will decrease the costs of premiums for current Marketplace enrollees and for new enrollees. NJHPS began lowering premiums for coverage starting January 1, 2021.

Similar to the Advance Premium Tax Credit (APTC), New Jersey residents will qualify for these new savings based on income.

Tax households with annual incomes up to 600% of the FPL will receive NJHPS.

An individual with an income of up to $77,280 and a family of four who makes up to $159,000 can receive state subsidies to lower the costs of health coverage.

These savings are in addition to federal financial help.

Does this sound like you?

As part of its goal to advance health equity, New Jersey introduced a new Special Enrollment Period (SEP), the Expanded Access Special Enrollment Period, in 2022 that allows consumers at a certain income level to enroll throughout the year in free or nearly free coverage.

Consumers with an annual income up to 200% of the Federal Poverty Level ($25,760 for an individual or $53,000 for a family of four) can now qualify for a Special Enrollment Period to enroll any time of the year with access to plans with low or no monthly premium.

Residents who are eligible should enroll as soon as possible to gain coverage and receive maximum value out of annual benefits like deductibles and maximum out-of-pocket limits!!

Do you fall into that income level?
If so, I can help you save on your health plans today.

Let's get you today.

Good news! πŸŽ‰πŸŽ‰πŸŽ‰πŸŽ‰

New Savings & Expanded Health Coverage Access is now available through !!!

The federal government passed a COVID-19 relief bill, the American Rescue Plan Act of 2021, which was signed into law by President Biden on March 11, 2021.

The new law reduces health insurance premiums by providing more financial help to eligible consumers who purchase a plan through Get Covered New Jersey.

The State of New Jersey is also providing more financial help to lower health insurance costs for residents enrolling at Get Covered New Jersey!

More people than ever now qualify for financial help!

I am here to help you get the plan that is BEST FOR YOU!

Drop me or DM me a "savings" to start the conversation about your health care coverage today.

Health Insurance 101: Open Enrollment

This is a huge part of what I do for my business.

Open Enrollment is the yearly period when you can enroll in health insurance.

In New Jersey, Open Enrollment is from November 1 to January 31.

Open Enrollment is the only time during the year when you can enroll in coverage, unless you experience a major life event that qualifies you for a Special Enrollment Period, if a state-designated Special Enrollment Period is in effect, or if you qualify for NJ FamilyCare.

I am excited to help you get your coverage in just a few short months.

Are you aware of your plan options?
If not, let's connect NOW so you can be prepared for November 1st!

An estimated 9.6% of U.S. residents, or 31.1 million people, lacked health insurance when surveyed in the first six months of 2021, according to preliminary estimates from the National Health Interview Survey released yesterday by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

That’s not significantly different from the survey’s uninsured rate for 2020.

Among children, 4.4% were uninsured, 44.7% had public coverage, and 53.1% had private coverage.

Among adults under age 65, Hispanic adults (31.4%) were more likely than Black (14.7%), white (9.0%) and Asian (6.1%) adults to be uninsured.

The percentage of people under age 65 with exchange-based coverage increased from 3.7% in 2019 to 4.3% in the first six months of 2021.

Don't be a part of the 9.6%. I am here to help you understand health insurance, find a plan that works for you, and be your guide to all things insurance!
