Mid-State Insurance and Investment Services was founded in 1986 by Joe LaBarbera as an independent life and health insurance agency that operated out of the basement of his parent’s home. One year later, Mid-State opened its first office in Shorewood, Wisconsin and began offering investment products as well. By 1989 the agency grew into the property and casualty side of the business. In 1995, Mid-

State moved to Mequon, WI. Mid-State has recently had its 25th birthday and is going strong. The once small, home grown agency, today represents nearly 100 insurance companies and over 3000 clients in Wisconsin and Northern Illinois. It continues to specialize in individual and small to medium size business needs. Our size and staff of nearly 20 employees places us in a perfect position to offer an array of insurance and investment services to fit the needs of our customers. Our strength is that we get to know you and your business. In return, you get to know us and our knowledgeable and friendly employees. The agency has been founded on the simple rule of treating others as we would want to be treated. Mid-State has become a one stop resource for our commercial and individual clients. Last week we celebrated Erica Joyce's final event as President of Community Associations Institute - Wisconsin Chapter at the annual CAI Trade Show!

It was a wonderful day connecting with industry friends, welcoming Dawn Bauman from Community Associations Institute, and supporting a cause that truly matters — the CAI Legislative Action Committee (LAC).

The LAC is the group working behind the scenes to advocate for Wisconsin condominiums, HOAs, and co-ops. From reviewing proposed legislation to educating lawmakers and helping shape updates to statutes like Chapter 703, their work protects associations, boards, and homeowners across our state.

We were proud to make a donation in support of their important advocacy efforts.
As Erica moves from her role as President into her new position as Past President on the board, we want to thank her for the incredible leadership, dedication, and heart she brought to the role. Her impact will be felt for years to come.

💛 THANK YOU for Making Our Give Back Event a Huge Success!

Because of the incredible generosity of our community, Mid-State Insurance’s Give Back Event raised $5,000—more than doubling our original goal of $2,500!

Thanks to donations collected the night of the event, continued giving afterward, and Mid-State Insurance proudly matching every dollar, we were able to turn $1,200 raised in person into a total impact of $5,000 in support of Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation, helping fund critical childhood cancer research and support families fighting this disease.

This cause is especially meaningful to us, and we are deeply grateful to everyone who attended, donated, shared, and supported this effort. Your kindness and generosity truly made a difference.
