I rarely post but today is special. My son, Ryin, turned 18 today. This is the same son that did not speak until he was 3 and was diagnosed with autism in middle school. The same son who struggled social and academicallybut still persevered. This is the same son who matriculated one of the toughest school districts in the state. This is the same son that was accepted into UWM, something he sought after and applied for! This is my son, who has a heart of gold and is full of the potential and amazing testimony that God equipped him with! This is my son whose biggest “issue” is not drugs or violence but watching too many church sermons!!! He inspires me and over the years I have come to appreciate him on a whole new level and I am so glad he is mine. I love my son with my entire essence! What would happen to our communities if we all left a legacy for our loved ones when we left this earth? How much farther would our families be after 2 or 3 generations?

Losing a loved one is an inevitable part of life.
