Last week, San Mateo hosted SaaStr, one of the most important events in the SaaS industry, where top founders, VCs, and executives gathered to share their best practices and insights. We kicked off the new season with some great news: Vibranium.VC's Founder and General Partner, Zamir Shukho, was recently featured in TechCrunch. In a recent "How to Pitch Me" column, Zamir joined 14 other prominent early-stage investors to share valuable tips, insights, and strategies for startup founders eager to secure deals. Target Industries: We have a particular interest in B2B SaaS companies in four industries: productivity software, financial services, sales and marketing, as well as media and information services. For startups in these sectors, integrating AI into their product can provide a significant competitive advantage.

2. Startups AI Expertise: Startups emphasizing their AI capabilities should showcase strong in-house domain expertise. It's crucial to have at least one senior developer on the team with the knowledge and skills required to build robust AI products.

3. Investor Engagement: When engaging with potential investors, startups should inquire about their follow-on strategies. Understanding how investors intend to contribute to the long-term growth of the business beyond financial support is crucial. It's essential to determine whether investors are willing to leverage their network, connections, and expertise to create opportunities and support the startup's team.

4. Pitch Strategy: Rather than obsessing over crafting the perfect pitch, founders should prioritize building a comprehensive data room and ensuring they are well-prepared to provide robust answers to potential questions.

5. Grabbing VC Interest: A promising initial approach involves presenting a concise one-page summary to our fund's team. This can help determine whether your offering aligns with the fund's profile and investment focus. If this initial assessment yields a positive response, you can proceed to submit your complete pitch deck for a more thorough review and analysis.

Growth is essential for establishing a successful SaaS business. But how do these companies grow? Check out the recent research created by ChartMogul to find out the latest growth trends, insights, and benchmarks based on data from over 2,200 SaaS businesses. Here are the five important takeaways from the research:

1. SaaS growth rates have stabilized in the last three quarters, indicating no deterioration in growth.
2. Best-in-class SaaS startups are accelerating, with growth rates ranging from 110% to 192% annually.
3. Top-tier startups reach $1M ARR within 9 months, with the median startup taking around 2 years and 9 months. On average, startups reach $10M ARR in slightly over 5 years, with only 13% reaching this mark even after 10 years.
4. Most SaaS startups grow from $1M to $10M ARR by growing their subscriber base, with only a small subset growing predominantly by increasing their ARPA.
5. SaaS is mildly seasonal, with Q1 being the best quarter of growth and Q4 being the slowest. March is the best month, while July and December are slower due to holidays.
