First State Bank's Employee Spotlight for August is Kim Becket is Trust Assistant at our Mendota Main Branch. She has been with us since 1997. Get to know Kim!

1. How did you get starting in banking - My mom was good friends with Roberta who was the head teller at Plaza North, and they had a Part Time opening. I thought I would work in banking for a few years to figure out what I wanted to do in the future. Here I am almost 30 years later and don’t regret it at all. 2. Where do you see yourself in 5 years - Enjoying more camping, Retired, Relaxing, Spending more time with my grandbaby (or babies) and my family & friends. 3. Favorite Quote - Take One Day at a Time and Stay Positive 4. Tell us a little bit about your family - My Husband Brian “Otis” of 25 years, Son Kody (24 yrs old), daughter Kamdyn (21 yrs old), Grandson Lane (2 ½ yrs old) and our toy poodle Bo (14 yrs old). 5. Are you messy or organized - I love being organized, especially at work. My “Things to do” for the day I must prioritize them & I have specific baskets for like pending work for the day or items that I’m waiting for response on. Even including checklists for different areas in the Trust Department. I love my list for home and work. 6. What did you want to be when growing up - Law Enforcement to follow in my dad’s and brother’s footsteps.
