Working around grain bins comes with serious risks, but many accidents can be prevented with proper planning and safe practices.
✅ Never enter a grain bin alone. Always have someone outside maintaining constant visual or verbal contact.
✅ Shut off and lock out all augers and equipment before entering to prevent machinery from being started unexpectedly.
✅ Wear a body harness and lifeline secured outside the bin for added protection in case of a fall or grain collapse.
